The King’s School Art Prize with Parramatta BMW
Since 1994, The King’s School has acquired the works of some of Australia’s most influential and innovative contemporary artists through its prestigious Art Prize. The $20,000 acquisitive award is presented annually to the best contemporary artwork, created by an artist resident in Australia and represented by a commercial gallery, supporting both the artists and the fine arts industry.
This year, Parramatta BMW proudly sponsored the 30th anniversary of the King’s School Art Prize. The impressive BMW iXM60 and X5 were showcased at Gala Dinner with one lucky attendee winning a weekend away with a BMW.
Students submitted artworks with two primary winners announced across K-2 & 3-6 grade categories. The King’s School Art prize this year was awarded to Zoe Young for her ‘Lil Marlene’ acrylic on canvas piece.
